Famous Idaho Potato Marathon set to run through Boise

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Saturday morning, May 18th, kicks off the YMCA's annual Famous Idaho Potato Marathon. The marathon is actually four races: A full marathon, half marathon as well as 10k and 5k races.

The marathons both start at 7:00 AM at Lucky Peak State Park and finish in the parking lot of the Albertsons Headquarters on Parkcenter Blvd West.

The 5k and 10k both start at 10:00 AM at the Albertsons HQ . The finish line will be in the same parking lot.

3,000 runners are expected to participate with escort and traffic control for the event being provided by both Boise Motor Escort and BPD.

Parking is available at the Albertsons Headquarters Parking Lot off of Parkcenter Blvd and at BSU Yanke Family Research Park. Shuttles will be provided.
